This album was born from a gift, from my then fiancee’s (now husband’s) inspiration to buy me a harp. I didn’t play the harp and had never before imagined doing so, but he had a vision for me and he acted on it. He took me to the Galilee and bought me a beautiful and hand-crafted Celtic harp.
As soon as I began teaching myself to play, another gift emerged: the music that became this album of sacred song for the poetry Jews use to welcome the Shabbat. I was overwhelmed then, and still am now, at the experience of melody washing over me so freely and unexpectedly.
I am honored to now offer you this music as an extension of the gifts I received with love. May it bring you connection, inspiration, and peace.
